Collection Worksheet Screen

 

 

The collection views outlined in the sections above allow the user an overall review of one or many accounts.  However, when working a particular account, most collection activity will be recorded and tracked using the Collection Worksheet . 

 

The Collection Worksheet is opened by double clicking on any item in the Collection Master, Detail or Tickler views.  Once open, the screen displays detail pertaining to the collection process on the particular account.  This information includes demographic, insurance, diagnosis, as well as past collection notes. 

 

The buttons located at the top of the screen provide an easy shortcut to other windows that are typically needed during the collection process and will be outlined in the worksheet instructions below.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Note:  The default information displayed can be modified to display any data element that exists in the database.  To exclude or add default information to this window, contact the eInformatics Technical Support staff at (614)-457-4359.

 

 

 

To use the collection worksheet

 

1.     Once in a collection view, double click on any item to open the Collection Worksheet screen.

2.     Review any past collection notes to assist in preparation for the call; then click on Start Call to record the call for the Call Monitor.

3.     If applicable, make the telephone call, using the following buttons as needed. 

4.     To view the patient’s demographic or insurance information, click on Demographics.  Click on Save or Cancel to return to the worksheet.

5.     To view the patient’s payment/billing history, click on Transactions.  The Transaction History screen opens.  Click on Exit to return to the worksheet.

6.     To add a new collection note to the account, click on New Note.  The Collection Note screen opens and information can be recorded.  Click on Save to save the note and return to the worksheet.

7.     To schedule follow up on the account, click on Tickler, which opens the Collection Tickler screen.  Enter or select the tickler information; then click on Ok.

8.     Click on End Call to open the Call Status screen.  Select a status and click on Ok to return to the worksheet.

9.     Once the call and all notes are completed, click on End Call to end call monitoring, which opens the Call Status screen.

10.   Using the Call Party field dropdown arrow, select the appropriate party

11.   Select a call status; then click on Ok to close the screen and return to the worksheet.

12.   Click on Exit to close the worksheet.
